  • BFAR and Tambuyog signs MOA

    The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) and PaNaGaT (Pangingisda Natin Gawing Tama) continue their collaboration in building the capacity of Local Government Units, Fishers Group and the local FARMCs on Fisheries Management and introduction of modern technologies. The project has benefitted 56 coastal municipalities and shall soon expand to 17 municipalities in the West Phil.Sea. The Memorandum of Agreement was concluded on March 7, with Dinna Umengan, Tambuyog Executive Director and PaNaGaT's National Convener and BFAR National Director, Atty. Demosthenes Escoto. Other PaNaGaT members were also in attendance, RARE Phils. represented by National FARMC member from NGOs, Mr.Dennis Calvan and Sam Poblete and Kayla Castro of ISO, who presented the major accomplishments of the said project.
